Yaeji is back on the scene with a vibrant new track titled “Pondeggi,” featuring E Wata. This exciting release takes its name from beondegi, a traditional Korean street delicacy made from silkworms. The accompanying music video, directed by Andrew Thomas Huang, showcases Yaeji undergoing a whimsical transformation into a bug.

The video creatively reflects the inspiration behind the song, incorporating a playful series of hand claps that nod to a classic schoolyard game, which has shaped the track’s rhythm. In this innovative visual narrative, Yaeji’s silkworm persona embarks on a mission to protect the metamorphosis cycle from the interference of a techno-witch, portrayed brilliantly by Uhm Jung-hwa.

Yaeji’s recent musical journey has been nothing short of impressive. Earlier this year, she collaborated with Girl Talk and T-Pain for the track “Believe in Ya,” while in November she linked up with Teddy Geiger for “Pink Ponies.” Additionally, she has released two solo tracks, “Booboo” and “Easy Breezy,” each paired with captivating visuals.
