A new teaser trailer has dropped for the much-anticipated Pavement film, now officially titled Range Life: A Pavement Story. Directed by Alex Ross Perry, the film features Joe Keery, known for his role in Stranger Things, portraying the iconic Stephen Malkmus. The newly unveiled clip highlights Pavement’s classic track “Shady Lane,” with its fitting lyric, “You’ve been chosen as an extra in the movie adaptation of the sequel to your life.”
In addition to Keery, the film boasts an impressive cast that includes Jason Schwartzman, Fred Hechinger, Tim Heidecker, Logan Miller, Griffin Newman, and Nat Wolff. Originally titled Pavements, the film had its debut at the Venice Film Festival last year, but a wider release date has yet to be announced.
Outside of Range Life, Joe Keery is also carving out a niche for himself in the music scene under his solo project Djo. He is set to release a new album titled The Crux in early March.
